These engines were constructed to work at steam pressures up to 100 ibs, per, sq. in., and carefully tested under steam.
They are self contained, occupy little space, and are easily fixed.
The flywheel is turned on face to receive belt and can be fixed on either side.
The Crankshafts, connecting rods and piston rods are made of steel
The Bearings are of best gunmetal, massive and long for resistance to wear.
Each engine is fitted with Pickering type high speed governor, stop valve, tallow cup, nessary lubricators and drain cocks.
The Cylinder is lagged and neatly covered with polished sheet steel.
